Women’s Conducting Intensive at the Halifax Choral Conducting Institute, 2019

Passionate about conductor education, Caron founded the Halifax Choral Conducting Institute in 2013. In 2019, the HCCI inaugurated a Women’s Conducting Intensive, the first of its kind in Canada. In 2017, Caron founded Choral Kaleidoscope at Duquesne University, an institute for conductors at all levels in partnership with the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh.

Caron currently serves as the National Repertoire and Resources Chair for Colleges and Universities with the American Choral Directors Association, Past-President of the American Choral Directors Association of Pennsylvania, and as a Board Member of the National Collegiate Choral Organization. She has held service-related roles with Choral Canada, the Nova Scotia Choral Federation, and Dalcroze Canada.
