Women’s Conducting Intensive at the Halifax Choral Conducting Institute, 2019

Passionate about conductor education and leadership development, Caron founded the Halifax Choral Conducting Institute in 2012. In 2019, the HCCI inaugurated a Women’s Conducting Intensive, the first of its kind in Canada. From 2017-21, Caron led Choral Kaleidoscope at Duquesne University, an institute for conductors at all levels in partnership with the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh.

Caron currently serves as the National Chair for 4-year Colleges and Universities with the American Choral Directors Association. From 2019-21, she was President of the American Choral Directors Association of Pennsylvania, and from 2019-2023, a Board Member of the National Collegiate Choral Organization. Caron has held national-level service roles with Choral Canada, the Nova Scotia Choral Federation, and Dalcroze Canada.
