Caron’s twenty-year exploration of the applications of Dalcroze Eurhythmics to choral practice has resulted in national and international conference presentations and publications in Canadian Music Educator, Choral Journal, and Anacrusis. This work has opened doors for interdisciplinary collaboration, including research investigations with colleagues in Speech Language Pathology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Medicine. This work has resulted in conference presentations at the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, Motor Speech Conference, American Physical Therapy Association, Symposium for Research in Choral Singing (ACDA), Voice Foundation Symposium, and publications in The Choral Scholar, Journal of Singing, International Journal of Research in Choral Singing, and the College Music Symposium (forthcoming in 2025).
In recent years, Caron has been exploring musician health and wellness in the ensemble setting, and is a contributing author to The Oxford Handbook of Musician Health Advocacy (forthcoming in 2025). She coordinates the musician health and wellness initiatives at the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University.
